AmbitCare provides free 1:1 support and information to help you take control of your medical journey. Current AmbitCare services include free genetic counseling, access to genetic testing, and access to customized resources. All our services provided are virtual, we do not currently have a physical location. Our AmbitCare Ambassadors are available Monday through Friday, 9-5pm ET. No. All of AmbitCare’s services will always be free to you and your loved ones.
When you sign up for our services, you consent to allowing us to analyze your de-identified data. We provide these findings to organizations looking to advance treatment options for rare diseases. We receive fees from some of these organizations which help us improve our services. AmbitCare does not rely on grants or donations.
We currently support Spanish on our site. More information about our services in Spanish can be found at www.ambitcare.com/espanol. If you need genetic counseling in another language, please reach out to an AmbitCare Ambassador at info@ambitinc.com and we will provide a translator.

Your privacy is very important to us, so we make every effort to keep you and your loved one’s information safe and secure. All this information will be encrypted and securely stored. Your individual information is never sold or shared with other parties, except in cases where you have consented to receive services. The consent form includes five items:
1. Confirmation that you are the patient or the patient’s legal guardian (first two bullets).
2. Consent for Ambit RD, Inc., which AmbitCare is a part of (please see “What is AmbitCare?” in the AmbitCare overview section for more information), to share the information you have given us with our genetic counseling partner DNAVisit so they may prepare for your counseling appointment.
3. Consent for DNAVisit and Ambit RD, Inc. to share genetic counseling notes and test results with the physician whose name you have provided so your physician can stay informed and have more information to help guide your or your loved one’s treatment plan.
4. Consent for Ambit RD, Inc. to receive a copy of health records, the genetic counseling notes, and test results. This will help us provide you with customized resources. In addition, if the genetic test results are negative, meaning there were no findings, Ambit RD, Inc. can inform you of changes in guidelines or testing algorithms that might make you or your loved one eligible for re-testing.
5. Consent to share your or your loved one’s de-identified data with our research partners, such as academic researchers and healthcare companies, in an effort to advance treatment options. Ambit RD, Inc. does not sell your personal identifiable information to others.

It will help your genetic counselor if you can share your health records with AmbitCare before your free genetic counseling appointment, should you qualify and choose to do it. Your AmbitCare Ambassador can help you with this, but it is okay if you are not ready to share – the genetic counselor may just have a few more questions for you. AmbitCare takes your privacy seriously. We will not share their findings without your permission to do so.
Additionally, we de-identify your health information (e.g., remove identifiers) and share it with our partners, who are working to advance treatment options for rare diseases. Knowing how difficult it is to get answers, you could be part of the solution for others who have similar needs.Your AmbitCare Ambassador and other select individuals who work for AmbitCare will have access to your health information on a needed basis for the purposes of maintaining your account and providing you with services.
In addition, you may consent to us sharing your information with healthcare providers involved in your care, such as a genetic counselor or your physician.
We do not and will not ever sell, trade, or rent your personal identifying information. With your consent, we anonymize your information and share it with our research partners (such as academic researchers and healthcare companies) in efforts to advance medical treatments and rare disease research for you and your loved ones.
You can upload your health records at the very end of our registration at www.ambitcare.com/registration. Please note that this is not required to complete the submission. Otherwise, after you have registered with AmbitCare, an AmbitCare Ambassador will reach out to you within 1-2 business days with instructions on how to upload your health records and walk through any questions you may have about health records we may need.
We ensure that your information is kept private and secure according to industry standards and government regulations. AmbitCare uses HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)-compliant cloud services which ensures confidentiality and integrity for all health information we collect and maintain on your behalf. This includes all our data storage, telehealth, and electronic signature processes. We train staff and contractors regularly on our company security policies and requirements as well. Although we take standard industry precautions to prevent breaches, in the very unlikely event that they happen we are required by federal and state law to notify you promptly.
