Bardet-Biedl Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by a combination of symptoms that affect various systems of the body. Individuals with BBS often experience vision impairment, obesity, kidney dysfunction, intellectual disability, and other related health complications. As an ophthalmologist, you can play a critical role in managing the ophthalmological aspects of this syndrome.
AmbitCare is a program designed to empower and educate individuals diagnosed with rare disease including Bardet-Biedl Syndrome. AmbitCare is working with Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to support individuals living with BBS by providing them with resources to help manage obesity due to BBS.
Educational Resources: We offer a wide range of educational materials, including informational brochures, doctor discussion guides, and connection to additional disease specific resources. These resources cover various aspects of Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, from signs and symptoms to managing obesity due to BBS.
